Abuja Telegraph Newspaper who had been collecting opinions and reactions from Young Entrepreneurs in Nigeria recently had a short media chat with Babalola Omoniyi, FBI Group Managing Editor and Project Coordinator for My Hero Nigeria Kiddies Talk Show. Babalola Omoniyi, alongside Chichi Nwabuisi (Managing Editor, FBI) expressed their views thus:
“Bringbackourgirls... Yes, as you can see, we also joined in the campaign like every other concerned Nigerian and Yes, we have shouted, the world has heard us all and as a result, we have the finest military help from the World Most Powerful Nations here in Nigeria working assiduously to bringing back the girls. Despite all these noticeable actions and efforts, we still have people protesting in every parts of Nigeria. Now i begin to wonder what these protests tend to achieve when the world is already here in Nigeria bringing the girls back.
Are they waiting for God Almighty to come down to Nigeria to carry arms and rescue the girls like Jack Bauer did in 24? It’s unfortunate how people profit from a national misfortune as this! You'd be shocked how much money some people have made off this *bringbackourgirls* protests. Instead of distracting military attention with various campaigns and senseless protests why can’t we channel same energy and resources on getting useful information that will really bring the girls back. While some truly are concerned about the girls being brought back, there are others whose major goals tilt towards personal gains, recognition and publicity. Nigerians shall not faint in praying for the safety of these girls; however, let's discontinue from every gatherings and actions that will befuddle on-going investigations and efforts. God Bless Nigeria!
